An Established and Well Respected
Counselling Service in Worcester

The Worcester Therapy Group was established in 1990 under the name of C.H. Counselling Services, based originally in St. John’s in Worcester. Since its inception over 25 years ago it has extended its provision extensively, offering a comprehensive service to individuals, couples and families in the area. A number of local organisations have built up a close working relationship and come to trust in the high quality of service we offer.

The practice now comprises many experienced counsellors and psychotherapists with a wide range of expertise and backgrounds, each specialising in particular areas. This results in a comprehensive service that can be tailored to the needs of each individual.

Our USP - Getting the Right Fit

Making the decision to seek help can feel both liberating and overwhelming. Having the space to talk to a trained professional about your thoughts and feelings can be transformative. The relationship between client and therapist is unique, comforting and important. Knowing that there is someone in your life who’s not only an expert but also cares about you and wants to empower you feels good.

Talking to family and friends can be helpful to many people, however they are unable to offer the same non-judgmental, objective and non-biased feedback that a therapist can. Therapists are trained for years to listen and respond in a way that help clients understand themselves at a deeper level, begin to feel more empowered and gradually make decisive changes in their lives.

While therapy can lead to major and positive changes in your life it isn't always easy and there may be times when you feel daunted by the steps ahead. This is an entirely normal part of the process, an uncomfortable yet crucial step towards healing. Because this process requires you to be vulnerable its important to find a therapist with whom you feel comfortable and safe. Research has shown that the quality of the relationship between the client and therapist is the most important factor for positive change. This is why at Worcester Therapy Group we put so much emphasis on finding the right therapist for you.
